Team HBV Meeting Minutes

 

Meeting Commencement: September 15, 2009 @ 7:10pm

Business

Blood Drive:     Team HBV will be tabling/advertising for the blood drive in the week leading up to the event. The blood drive will take place on Tuesday 9/22 at 12-6pm in Pauley Ballroom. During the blood drive, we will be tabling and clip-boarding. The new members will be filled in on what to do by an officer the day of their tabling. The following is a table of tabling and flyering shifts for the week leading up to the blood drive:

Dessert Night:  We will be having a dessert night at our next general meeting on Tuedsay, 9/22. Bring your delicious desserts and listen to Greg giving an informative talk about Hepatitis B. Andrew will email the list of desserts to everyone.

 

APAC & Health Coalition Representatives:        If you are interested in becoming either an APAC or Health Coalition Representative for Team HBV email both Rebecca (rahu@berkeley.edu) and Tiffany (tifa.chia@gmail.com). Also, if you’re interested in interning in the Office of the Executive Vice President to help organize the Health Coalition, contact Tiffany.

 

Basket Brawl:   Will take place on a Saturday in early December. To raise funds for the prizes will we put on some bake sales.

 

Bake Sales:      We received some interesting suggestions to improve our bake sales from the members. Selling at the gourmet ghetto or near a farmer’s market might bolster sales. Some suggestions for the goods are: cookies (chocolate chip, m&m’s), brownies, vanilla cupcakes (decorated nicely), hot chocolate, hot cider, pies, pudding cups, peanut butter cookies with a Hershey’s Kiss on top, rice krispies, fudge.
