The Pound For Pound Challenge is a fundraising program for Feeding America, an organization that supports over 200 local food banks throughout the United States. For each pound of weight that its participants pledge to lose between December 8, 2009 and June 30, 2010, this program will donate US$ 0.14, which is the cost of 1 pound of groceries, to Feeding America. The donation will be made in July 2010 after this program ends, and the maximum total amount of the donation is US $1,080,000.
