Project Information
Description
In response to the recent tragedy from Typhoon Morakat, Eastvillagers on-line community site (www.eastvillagers.org and www.eastvillagers.org/pingchao/blog/332/) is hosting a online fund raising to support a joint medical/humanitarian relief effort by Taiwan Root Medical Peace Corps and it's US sister organization Root International Peace Corps. Both organizations are featured in Eastvillagers website.
Individual donation made through www.eastvilagers.org will be matched dollar for dollar from Ping & Amy Chao Family Foundation.
If individual has employer matching program, he or she can get $2 (Employer+Chao Foundation) for $1 matching. Otherwise, he or she can get $1(Chao Foundation) for $1 matching.
Taiwan Root is the most competent, organized and experienced medical/humanitarian relief organization from Taiwan. They are mobile, down to earth and result oriented. With Taiwan Root, we know that donation will be put to very good use. Please see the link www.eastvillagers.org/group.php?group_id=20 for more information on Taiwan Root.
Hope you can help to spread the words. Thanks.
