Description

The Little Red Scarf is an alliance of non-profit organizations and individuals focused on loving underprivileged children with congenital heart disease in Gansu Province. It is the result of the cooperation of three US charities: the Ping and Amy Chao Family Foundation, the Chinese Christian Herald Crusade, and Angel Heart International. With over 6,000 such cases each year, Gansu is among the provinces of the highest incidence with less than 20% receiving any treatment. Families cannot afford the surgery, and most children will not survive beyond the age of 10. We sponsor heart surgery, restore health, and provide holistic love and care after surgery so they can lead normal healthy lives.
