There are over 100,000 orphans in Ukraine today. Ninety percent are considered social orphans, abandoned by their parents or removed from their care due to abuse or neglect. Most will not be adopted and will leave the orphanage systme at the age of 16. The statistics on what the future holds for these children are truly horrific.
