A naturalized Haitian-American, Rose-Marie Chaperon works as a Director of Revenue Cycle for healthcare operations. Rose-Marie's experience is process improvement and redesigning patient access and patient financial services areas. She is an exceptional Account Receivable guru and has held many Business Office and Patient Financial Services positions throughout her twenty-year tenure in revenue cycle. She is a very proactive leader and the kind of person who can direct a group of people towards their goals. Rose Marie has experience with a variety of software systems and led three hospitals through a system conversion during her assignments there. Rose-Marie is a Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM), she holds a Bachelor Degree in Healthcare Management, and Finance. Rose-Marie works as an Executive Director of Revenue Cycle for Cerner Corporation in Kansas City, MO.
She is an experienced board member for several civic organizations. Rose-Marie was a board member for the City of Alexandria, Virginia Commission on HIV and AIDS. Rose-Marie’s passion is people development and providing safe and healthy environment for children. Rose-Marie spends most of her free time teaching ESOL and tutoring people in her local community. Rose-Marie also has a passion for fitness and healthy eating. Rose-Marie spends her free time doing weight training, kickboxing, and reading fiction books. Rose-Marie’s other hobby besides shopping – correction obsession- is to spend as much time as possible with her nieces and nephews.
Rose-Marie’s motivation to join S.H.E.N.A Haiti is the statement she made after one of her trips to Haiti. “I find myself complaining every day about children poverty in Haiti, it was at a point I almost went on a hunger strike. I realized that complaining was not a solution, so I decided to be part of the solution because to the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world, therefore; I have decided to be part of someone’s world. Now the only thing left to do is to get others to join in and take interest in their world”.
