My experience as an intern at 4Cthepower has been AMAZING. I am so grateful to be part of a such a phenomenal organization with a team that works so hard to bring "art" to the growing Asian community. Though we come from all different parts of the world with different ethnic backgrounds, when it comes to 4CTHEPOWER, we all come together and put our 100% heart, mind and soul into working as ONE.

Back when I was in high school (where only 60-70% of the senior class graduated), such programs that 4Cthepower offers were never promoted or offered. Even though one may not excell in school or get the best grades, maybe their passion is somewhere else, but they don't have that opportunity outletto shine. Through these 4Cthepower workshops, kids learn directly from the artists who, in turn, have experienced hard times when trying to make it in the arts, but eventually have gained much success in their area of either music, film making, dance, photography, spoken word, etc to tell THEIR story in hopes to inspire kids to make their dreams come true.

As a person, I believe I have gained more confidence and have grown and learned so much over such a short time. Being an intern has definitely become a special part of who I am. I hope that one day, my brother and sister can participate in these programs that will hopefully encourage them to be successful in whatever they decide to pursue in the future.

No monetary value can be put on feeling we all get when we see the smiles, hear the positive feedback and gratitude coming from both the kids who participate in workshops as well as the artists when talking about what 4Cthepower does for the community and through CULTURE, COMMUNITY, CREATIVITY, and CREATIVITY, anything is possible.
